Refund Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when fees paid for Evanworks (“we”, “us”) may be refunded, how to request a refund, and how refunds relate to canceling your subscription. It applies to the Evanworks website and services (the “Service”) and supplements our Terms and Conditions. Paid plans are billed through our payment provider, Paddle, which handles checkout, taxes, and the actual refund.
1. Our general position
Unless required by law or as described in this policy, fees paid for an Evanworks subscription are non-refundable. This includes monthly and annual subscription charges that have already been processed. When you purchase a paid plan, you are charged in advance for the billing period you select.
Because subscriptions are billed in advance and access to the paid features begins immediately, we do not provide refunds for partially used billing periods except as set out below.
2. Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy affects the statutory rights of consumers under applicable local law. Where local law gives you a right to a refund that cannot be excluded or limited, this policy does not override it, and the provisions below describe how we honor those rights.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you generally have the right to withdraw from a digital-content contract within 14 days of the contract being concluded, without giving a reason. However, because the Service is a digital subscription delivered online, your right of withdrawal is lost once you begin using the Service during that 14-day period (we request your consent to begin performance at sign-up). Outside of this case, statutory rights to a refund still apply where the Service is not provided, is faulty, or does not match what was agreed.
If you are a consumer in Australia, our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy (including a refund) where the Service is not of acceptable quality, is unfit for its purpose, or does not match its description.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund under mandatory local consumer law, contact us at e@evanworks.dev with your account email and the reason for your request, and we will review it in line with those rights.
3. Billing errors
If we charge you in error — for example, you are double-charged, or you are charged after you have successfully canceled and the cancellation should have stopped the charge — we will refund that charge. Contact us at e@evanworks.dev with your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a short description of what happened.
This applies regardless of your country or consumer status, because it corrects a charge that should not have occurred.
4. Other requests we will review
We will also review refund requests in good faith where you never used the Service after an accidental or unauthorized purchase. These are assessed case by case and are not guaranteed, but we aim to be fair.
To help us review quickly, include your account email, the date and amount of the charge, and a short description of what happened.
5. Canceling is not the same as refunding
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Canceling stops future renewals — it does not automatically refund the current period. After you cancel, you keep access to your paid features until the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for.
If you want a refund for a charge that has already been processed, you need to request one as described below.
6. Annual plans
For annual plans, refunds are handled under the same rules above: we do not provide pro-rated refunds for the unused portion of an annual subscription as a matter of course, except where required by law, corrected as a billing error under section 3, or approved as a goodwill exception under section 4.
If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact us before renewing so we can advise you.
7. How to request a refund
Email us at e@evanworks.dev with the subject “Refund request”, your account email, the charge date and amount, and the reason for your request. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund; we will review it and reply with our decision, usually within 5 business days. We ask that you contact us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer — most issues can be resolved faster directly.
If you used a payment method you no longer have access to, let us know — Paddle may need to return the funds to an alternative method.
8. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method through Paddle, which is the merchant of record for transactions on the Service. Depending on your bank or card issuer, the credit may take several business days to appear. Any taxes collected at checkout are refunded or adjusted in line with Paddle’s tax and refund rules as merchant of record.
If a refund is issued, the corresponding subscription is canceled and access to paid features ends when the refund is processed.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Any changes apply to purchases made after the revised policy takes effect.
